Tyra Banks big breasts

There's an art to finding the perfect bra, and it all starts with accurate measurements. Wearing the correct bra size can make all the difference in comfort, support, and appearance. In this cheeky guide, we'll help you master the measuring tape and conquer the quest for the perfect bra, whether you're doing it for yourself or your significant other.

Measuring your band size

Step 1: Measure Your Band Size

Wrap a soft measuring tape around your ribcage, just beneath your breasts. Make sure the tape is snug but not too tight and parallel to the ground. Write down the measurement in inches, rounding to the nearest whole number. If the number is even, add 4 inches; if it's odd, add 5 inches. This is your band size.

Measuring your bust size

Step 2: Measure Your Bust Size

Stand straight with your arms at your sides, and measure around the fullest part of your breasts, keeping the tape parallel to the ground. Again, make sure the tape isn't too tight or too loose. Write down the measurement in inches, rounding to the nearest whole number.

Step 3: Calculate Your Cup Size

Subtract your band size from your bust size. The difference in inches will determine your cup size. For example, a 1-inch difference corresponds to an A cup, a 2-inch difference to a B cup, and so on.

Signs You're Wearing the Wrong Bra:

If you notice red marks from tight straps, spillage over the cups, gaps between the bra and your breasts, or constant adjusting throughout the day, it's time to reevaluate your bra size.

Best Bra Types for Different Sizes:

  • Small breasts: Look for push-up or padded bras to enhance your shape.

  • Medium breasts: Opt for balconette or plunge bras for a flattering lift.

  • Large breasts: Choose full-coverage or minimizer bras for ultimate support.

Modern Bra Innovations:

Today's bra industry is focusing on combining comfort, support, and style. Some brands are using 3D printing technology to create custom-fit bras, while others are developing wireless designs with memory foam cups for maximum comfort. Smart fabrics that wick away moisture and regulate temperature are also gaining popularity, ensuring that your bra is not only a perfect fit but also feels great all day long.

Why is Bra Sizing So Confusing: Unraveling the Mystery

You'd think that after centuries of women dressing and covering their breasts, bra sizing would be a piece of cake, right? Wrong! Bra sizing is a perplexing mess that can leave even the most seasoned shoppers scratching their heads. In this article, we'll unravel the tangled web of factors that make bra fitting so complex, explore the world of custom bra tailoring, and take a brief look at famous bra types throughout history.

Different materials in bras

Material Mayhem:

Let's start with the obvious: the material. Bras come in a wide array of fabrics, from silk and lace to cotton and synthetics. Each material has its own unique stretch and fit properties, meaning that identical sizes in different fabrics can feel entirely different when worn.

Woman measuring her breasts

Size Standards Shenanigans:

Believe it or not, there is no universal sizing standard for bras! Different countries and even different brands within the same country have their own unique sizing systems. For example, a US size 36C might be a 38B in Europe or a 14C in Australia. Confused yet?

confused Emily Ratajkowski

One might wonder why such discrepancies exist in the first place. Well, it's a combination of factors. First, there's the historical context. Bras have evolved over time, with different countries developing their own sizing systems based on their cultural and societal norms. Then, there's the commercial aspect. Brands create their own sizing charts to differentiate themselves from competitors or to cater to a specific type of customer. Then, vanity sizing plays a role, since some brands deliberately inflate their sizes to make customers feel better about themselves. Finally, the influence of the fashion industry can’t be ignored. Trends, styles, and design innovations constantly change, leading to new bra shapes and fits, which further complicates sizing standards.

Shapes of boobs

Shape Struggles:

Our bodies are as unique as we are, and that includes our breasts. Some women have fuller breasts on top, while others may have more fullness on the bottom or even to the sides. This means that not all bras are created equal when it comes to accommodating the diverse range of breast shapes out there.

Bra tailoring

High-End Solution: Custom Bra Tailoring:

For those seeking the perfect fit, custom bra tailoring can be a life-changer. These bespoke bras are tailored to the individual's unique measurements and shape, ensuring ultimate comfort and support. However, this luxury often comes with a hefty price tag.

Bra fitting

Imagine stepping into a luxurious boutique where a professional fitter is dedicated to ensuring that your bra fits like a dream. That's the custom bra sizing experience. The fitter will take precise measurements of your bust, ribcage, and even breast shape to create a bra that's tailored specifically for you. The process involves choosing the right materials, design, and support structure to provide the ultimate comfort and aesthetic appeal. With a custom-fit bra, gone are the days of adjusting straps, red marks from tight bands, and annoying gaps or bulges. It's a truly personalized experience that celebrates your unique body and offers you the confidence of knowing that you're wearing a bra designed just for you.

Different types of bra for women

Famous Bra Types Throughout History:

From the corsets of yesteryear to the iconic cone bra popularized by Madonna in the 1990s, bras have had quite the journey. Today, we have countless styles and designs, from push-up and plunge to sports and maternity bras. The perfect fit is out there, even if finding it feels like a wild goose chase!

Conclusion:

As we've seen, bra sizing can be a labyrinth of confusion thanks to varying materials, sizing standards, and breast shapes. But don't despair! With patience, perseverance, and a little knowledge, you can navigate the complex world of bra fitting and find the perfect bra to support and celebrate your unique body.

With so many unique shapes and sizes of breasts, it's no wonder that people have long pondered the question: is there such a thing as the perfect boob shape? Plastic surgery has even built an entire industry around enhancing and changing the shape of women's breasts. In this article, we dive into the research behind this intriguing question, examining survey data, historical views, and the most up-to-date opinions on the ideal breast shape.

The Quest for Perfection: Research and Polls

Over the years, numerous surveys and studies have been conducted to try and pinpoint the perfect breast shape. While preferences can vary significantly depending on individual tastes and cultural influences, some trends have emerged from the data. One study conducted by plastic surgeons found that the majority of respondents preferred a more natural-looking breast, with a 45:55 ratio between the upper and lower parts of the breast, creating a slightly fuller appearance in the lower portion.

Historical Perspectives on Breast Shape

Throughout history, the ideal breast shape has shifted along with changing societal norms and beauty standards. In ancient Greece, smaller breasts with a more conical shape were considered the ideal, while during the Renaissance, fuller, rounder breasts were celebrated in art and fashion. The 1950s saw the popularity of the pointy, conical bra shape, while the 1990s and early 2000s brought about a preference for larger, rounder, and more augmented-looking breasts. Today, the trend seems to lean more towards a natural and balanced appearance.

The Perfect Breast Shape: A Contemporary View

Given the diverse range of preferences and historical influences, it's challenging to define a single "perfect" breast shape. However, based on current trends and survey data, the ideal breast shape today tends to be one that appears natural, with a slightly fuller lower portion and a gentle slope in the upper part of the breast. This creates a balanced and proportional appearance that many find aesthetically pleasing.

Visual Description of the Perfect Boob Shape

To provide a clear visual description, imagine a breast that is teardrop-shaped, with the majority of the fullness concentrated in the lower portion. The upper part of the breast gently slopes down to create a smooth and natural transition to the chest wall. The nipple and areola are centered on the fullest part of the breast, pointing slightly upward.

In Conclusion: Embracing Diversity

While research and trends may point towards a particular breast shape as the current ideal, it's essential to remember that beauty is subjective and that every individual will have their own preferences. The perfect breast shape ultimately comes down to personal taste and what makes each person feel confident and comfortable in their skin. So, let's celebrate the incredible diversity of breast shapes and sizes and appreciate the unique beauty that each one brings.

Why Do Boobs Come In Different Sizes and Shapes?

Breasts come in all shapes and sizes, and their diversity is part of what makes them so captivating. Genetics, hormones, and lifestyle factors all play a role in determining the size and shape of a woman's breasts, creating a unique and personal experience for each individual.

In this quirky and informative article, we explore the fascinating world of boob shapes and sizes. Why are some breasts small, while others are large? Is it purely genetic or does it have to do with lifestyle? Do women in certain parts of the world have larger breasts than average, while others in different countries have smaller sizes? We'll delve into these questions and more as we uncover the intimate secrets of breasts in this open and informative journey.

The Science Behind Size and Shape

The size and shape of a woman's breasts are primarily determined by genetics, which influence factors such as the amount of fatty and glandular tissue, as well as the size and elasticity of the Cooper's ligaments. Hormones also play a significant role in breast development, with estrogen being the key player in determining the overall size and shape of breasts during puberty.

Lifestyle choices can also impact breast size and shape. Factors such as weight gain or loss, exercise, and diet can all have an effect on the amount of fatty tissue in the breasts, resulting in changes to their size and firmness. For some women, going up or down 20 pounds can make them go up or down a whole cup size; for others, it’s more like 50 pounds. And going up and down in weight can also have an effect. Each time a woman gains weight or loses weight the skin around her breast tissue loses more of its elasticity, reducing its ability to contract to the new shape of her breasts.

Global Boob Geography

While genetics and hormones are the main drivers of breast size, it's interesting to note that there are regional trends in breast size as well. Some studies have suggested that women in certain countries or regions tend to have larger or smaller breasts on average. For example, North American and European women tend to have larger breast sizes on average, while women in Asian and African countries tend to have smaller sizes. This can be attributed to a combination of genetics, diet, and lifestyle factors that vary across populations.

The Aging Process and Boobs

As women age, their breasts naturally undergo changes in size and shape. Factors such as gravity, hormonal fluctuations, and the natural aging process can cause the Cooper's ligaments to lose elasticity, leading to sagging. In addition, weight gain or loss can also contribute to changes in breast shape and size over time.

Breastfeeding and Boob Size

Breastfeeding mothers often experience an increase in breast size due to the production of milk. The mammary glands fill with milk, causing the breasts to become larger and more firm. Once breastfeeding is finished, the breasts may return to their pre-pregnancy size, but the shape and firmness can be affected by the changes experienced during this period. Boobs can grow 1 to 2 cup sizes during pregnancy!

Boob Pain: What's the Deal?

Breast pain, also known as mastalgia, can occur for various reasons. Hormonal fluctuations, particularly during the menstrual cycle, can cause the breast tissue to become more sensitive and tender. In addition, wearing an ill-fitting bra or experiencing trauma to the breast can also lead to discomfort. If breast pain persists or becomes severe, it's essential to consult with a healthcare professional to rule out any potential health concerns.

In Conclusion: The Wonderful World of Boobs

Breasts come in all shapes and sizes, and their diversity is part of what makes them so captivating. Genetics, hormones, and lifestyle factors all play a role in determining the size and shape of a woman's breasts, creating a unique and personal experience for each individual. So, the next time you find yourself admiring a beautiful pair of boobs, take a moment to appreciate the intricate factors that contribute to their size, shape, and story.

What Exactly Are Boobs?

Have you ever paused to ponder the question, "What exactly are boobs made of?" Because we have. I mean what other thing in life is a topic of so much intrigue. It’s a source of sensuality, sexuality. They’re the source of life! Some women want them larger, others want them smaller. Some guys love them, other guys really love them (us). As simple as it may seem, this topic is both fascinating and sometimes downright silly. In this article, we'll explore how our understanding of the composition of breasts has evolved over time and what current scientific knowledge tells us about these captivating cushions. So let’s get into the question at hand: What are boobs???

The Building Blocks of Boobs

Breasts are a mesmerizing mix of various tissues, each playing a unique role in their form and function. At their core, boobs are primarily composed of fatty tissue, which gives them their soft, rounded shape. But there's more to breasts than just fat! They also contain mammary glands, responsible for producing milk, as well as fibrous tissue that provides support and structure.

Let's not forget the often overlooked yet essential component: the Cooper's ligaments, or suspensory ligaments. These thin bands of fibrous tissue help maintain the shape and position of the breasts by connecting the breast tissue to the chest wall. The size and shape of breasts can vary greatly depending on factors such as genetics, hormones, and even lifestyle choices.

A Journey Through Time

Throughout history, our understanding of the composition of breasts has evolved along with advancements in science and medicine. In ancient times, people believed that breasts were filled with milk at all times, waiting to nourish a hungry baby. It wasn't until the 17th century that scientists began to explore the true anatomy of the breast, discovering the presence of mammary glands and the fact that milk production is triggered by hormones during pregnancy and lactation.

In more recent times, researchers have gained a deeper understanding of the role that hormones and genetics play in determining breast size and shape. With the advent of modern imaging techniques, such as mammograms and ultrasounds, we can now take a closer look at the intricate structures that make up our beloved boobs.

The Science of Boobs

So, what does current scientific knowledge tell us about the composition of breasts? We now know that the amount of fatty tissue in breasts can vary greatly from person to person, resulting in a wide range of sizes and shapes. In addition, hormonal changes during puberty, pregnancy, and menopause can cause fluctuations in the size and firmness of breasts.

Breast density, a term used to describe the proportion of fatty tissue to fibrous and glandular tissue, also plays a significant role in breast health. Women with denser breasts may have a higher risk of developing breast cancer, making regular screening crucial for early detection and prevention.

Furthermore, while many people believe that breasts contain muscle, this is actually a misconception. The pectoral muscles, which lie beneath the breast tissue, play a role in supporting and moving the breasts, but they are not a part of the boobs themselves.

In Conclusion: Boobs Unveiled

Breasts are an enchanting combination of fat, fibrous tissue, and mammary glands, all working together to create the captivating curves that have captured our hearts and minds throughout history. Our understanding of boobs has come a long way over the years, and as science continues to uncover the mysteries of these bewitching body parts, we can't help but be entranced by the magic of boobs. So the next time you find yourself marveling at a magnificent pair, take a moment to appreciate the complex and captivating composition of these fabulous fleshy wonders!

Round Breasts

These perfectly proportioned globes of delight are as symmetrical as they come. Round boobs are equally full on the top and bottom, creating an enviable cleavage that's a feast for the eyes. You might think that round breasts are solely the domain of those who've gone under the knife, but mother nature does occasionally bestow this gift upon some lucky ladies.

Tear Drop Breasts

Tear drop-shaped breasts are slightly fuller at the bottom, giving them a gentle slope from the top down to the nipple. These perky pillows offer a natural, soft appearance that's perfect for a subtle hint of cleavage. If you're lucky enough to have tear drop breasts, you're in good company, as many women share this lovely shape.

Bell Shaped Breasts

Like their namesake, bell breasts are narrower at the top and fuller at the bottom. This creates a beautifully curved silhouette that's both alluring and feminine. While bell-shaped breasts may not offer the same gravity-defying cleavage as round boobs, they're still a fantastic sight to behold.

Asymmetrical Breasts

Athletic Breasts

Athletic breasts are generally firmer and more muscular, thanks to their owner's dedication to fitness. These sporty knockers may not be the biggest or the most voluptuous, but they pack a punch with their toned and perky appearance. If you're an athletic gal, your boobs are a testament to your hard work and commitment to staying in shape.

East-West Breasts

East-West breasts have nipples that point slightly outward, creating a gentle arc across the chest. This boob shape is perfect for those who appreciate a little space between their funbags, offering a unique and captivating appeal. If you've got East-West breasts, embrace the distinctive allure that sets you apart from the crowd.

Slender Breasts

Slender breasts are longer and narrower, giving them a sleek and elegant appearance. Often found on slimmer women, these elongated lovelies provide a streamlined silhouette that's just as enticing as any other boob shape. If you've got slender breasts, flaunt them with pride and showcase the gracefulness they bring to your figure.

6 Healthy Reasons Why Women Should Massage Their Breasts

We’ve already talked about how beneficial it is for men to look at and touch breasts. Now we want to discuss the 6 incredible health benefits women get when they touch their own breasts, or let someone else touch them. So let’s dive deep into why ladies should be fondling themselves more.

We’ve already talked about how beneficial it is for men to look at and touch breasts. Now we want to discuss the 6 incredible health benefits women get when they touch their own breasts, or let someone else touch them. So let’s dive deep into why ladies should be fondling themselves more.

1. Self-love & Confidence

A lot of women have a love-hate relationship with their breasts. Either they’re too big or too small; saggy or uneven, or just painful. When a woman gives herself a breast massage, she’s connecting with that part of her body on a deeper level. By stimulating circulation in the mammary glands, oxytocin is released into the body. The β€˜Love-hormone’ is responsible for reducing depression, elevating your mood and providing a deep sense of happiness and connection.

There’s also nothing wrong with a woman deriving pleasure from touching herself. It builds confidence and makes it easier for her to let her partner know how she wants to be touched. By giving herself a breast massage, especially when she takes the time to focus on feelings of love and gratitude towards each breast, she is embracing all of herself and promoting self-acceptance. And there is nothing sexier than a woman who loves herself!

2. Relieves Stress & Tension

Slowing down and actually taking the time to massage any part of your body is extremely good for you. Studies have shown that massages lower your heart rate and blood pressure, while releasing serotonin in the body. Which leads to lower stress hormone levels and a better night’s sleep.

Whether a woman has her breasts massaged in a spa by a professional or simply lights some candles in her bathroom and applies warm oil to her own chest, the benefits are the same. Relaxation, relief from tension and calming the mind and central nervous system. Ladies feel free to request some rubbing loving from your partner as well. This can easily be beneficial for both of you.

3. Releases Toxins From The Body

The lymphatic system in the body is responsible for transferring fluid from the cells, fat from the intestines and toxins out of the body. It also helps your immune system function properly. Moving the body during exercise or massage stimulates lymphatic drainage, which helps flush toxins from the body.

Breast tissue extends all the way into the armpit where lymph nodes exist. By gently massaging the breasts and under the armpit, the lymph nodes begin to shed excess fat and toxins which are stored there, encouraging weight loss, and increasing resistance to infections.

4. Reduces Tenderness & Swelling

Women who experience severe pain, breast tenderness or swelling during their menstrual cycles can ease some of the discomfort by massaging their breasts. For the same reasons as above, movement of that area, while painful at first, will eventually cause excess fluids to be released through the lymphatic system. Which will reduce pain, swelling and tenderness in the breasts. A much more effective pain reliever than a pint of Ben & Jerry’s.

5. Good For Breastfeeding

Benefits of Breastfeedings

Breastfeeding can be both a blessing and a curse at the same time. Gentle breast massages help drain the milk ducts of old milk, while stimulating the production of more. They also help treat or prevent other lactation issues such as painful infections of the breast tissue, plugged nipples and engorgement. New moms need rest and relaxation more than anyone else and should schedule weekly breast massages for themselves.

6. Breast Cancer Prevention & Detection

Breast Massage helps with breast cancer prevention and detection

While a breast massage is not the same as a breast examination, it’s still very important in the fight against breast cancer. First off, by stimulating lymphatic drainage of the breast tissue, you’re ensuring that toxic cells don’t take hold in the breast tissue or milk ducts. Stagnation of fatty breast tissue can lead to lumps forming which could eventually turn into malignant tumors.

Secondly, when a woman massages her breasts regularly, she’s in tune with her body and is much more likely to catch any new irregularities forming such as hard lumps or increased sensitivity to an area. Early detection and diagnosis increases your chances of beating breast cancer by 90%.

There you have it, ladies. 6 amazing reasons why you or someone else should massage your breasts. Take pride and pleasure in your lady lumps and relish the fact that they bring so much joy to you and the world. Check out the Booby Pillow to see how we do our part to make the world a happier place. One Booby Pillow at a time!

If there’s one thing we’ve learned over the last few years, it’s that everyone could use a little more rest and relaxation. Our search for new ways to feel calm and supported has led us to the fascinating world of dakimakura, Japanese comfort pillows. From busty anime characters to boyfriend pillows, there’s something for everyone on this list.

Dutch Wives

boob pillow blog - dakimakura pillows - dutch wives

A Dutch Wife is a round firm bolster pillow that is commonly used in the hot and humid countries of SE-Asia. They were originally made out of bamboo and were first referred to as bamboo wives. Which is what they’re called in Japan, Korea and China, where the traditional bamboo ones are still used today. The open structure allows air to flow between the knees and hips, helping you stay cool during those sultry summer nights.

After the Dutch colonized Indonesia in the1600's, the bamboo pillows became known as Dutch Wives, because lonely Dutch colonials and soldiers began to rely on their bolsters for comfort and companionship as well as staying cool. Eventually the bamboo was replaced with cotton-stuffed pillows, but the name remained the same.

Dakimakura

Dakimakura are long rectangular body pillows, sometimes referred to as huggie pillows because daki means to hug or embrace and makura means pillow in Japanese. What started out as a simple body pillow to help people with back and knee pain sleep better merged with Japan's anime-loving otaku culture and a new obsession was born.

Dakimakura sexy pillows

The pillow cases have two different images on each side and usually depict the characters in alluring come-hither poses and different revealing outfits. Talking pillows are also available with little speakers in them and a small AI that you can program to respond to your questions.

Eventually a whole new erotic subgenre was created. Love Pillows feature fully nude characters in sexually suggestive positions. Love Pillows have now become very popular and are collectors items.

boob pillow blog - dakimakura pillows

There’s no denying that dakimakura fans sleep great at night with their comfort pillows wrapped tightly in their arms. The design of the body pillow helps maintain spinal alignment while sleeping, which eases back and joint pain. But dakimakura offers more than just a good night’s sleep. They provide a sense of companionship and ease feelings of isolation. Plus, cuddling up to a luscious pair of breasts or even just looking at boobs reduces stress

The Boyfriend and Girlfriend Pillow

Based on the success of the dakimakura pillows, Japanese manufacturers went one step further and created boyfriend pillows that are shaped like a man’s torso with arms that can wrap around you and hold you. Offering a sound sleep and the perfect snuggling companion.

boob pillow blog - dakimakura pillows

Pillows were even made with a speaker in the chest that emits the soft reassuring sound of a human heartbeat. For men who love to lay their heads in a woman’s lap, a girlfriend pillow was designed in the shape of a kneeling woman, perfect for resting your head on.

boob pillow blog - dakimakura pillows

More than just fun anime collectors items, there’s actual science behind these pillows. Embracing someone or even something releases the love hormone oxytocin in your body. Serotonin is released as well, which decreases the damaging stress hormone, cortisol. All of this calms your central nervous system, lowers your blood pressure and improves your mood.

Higher levels of oxytocin help you fall asleep quicker and stay asleep longer. Promoting a more restful and rejuvenating deep slumber. Comfort pillows also combat depression and feelings of isolation because oxytocin fills you with a satisfying sense of belonging and connection.

We’re just learning what the Japanese have known for decades. It doesn’t matter what form your pleasure comes in. Whether it be a voluptuously sexy Booby Pillow or a talking anime body pillow, if it relaxes you, makes you happy, and helps you sleep better, then we’re all for it!

6 Ways Men Can Have Fun Reducing Stress

Have fun reducing stress! We’ve researched the best ways for men to enjoy relaxing. There’s no shame in taking time for yourself. Learn how to get calm, and kick some cortisol butt with our 6 tips for having fun while relaxing.

boob pillow blog - men can reduce stress

It’s a scientific fact that men and women handle stress differently. When women experience stress, their bodies release higher levels of oxytocin, which encourages them to seek out help and companionship. Because men receive lower levels of oxytocin while stressed, they’re far more likely to suffer in silence until they erupt like angry volcanoes. Here at Booby Pillow, we don’t want any angry volcanoes erupting on our watch, so we’ve put together a list of ways men can have fun while reducing stress.

Play Video Games

boob pillow blog - men can reduce stress

Yup, that’s right, you heard it here first! Video games are actually good for your health. Playing video games releases dopamine and endorphins in the brain, which relaxes you while helping you feel more energized and positive. By overcoming the different challenges in each game, the reward centers of your brain are also activated, which allows you to feel competent and raises your self-esteem. Furthermore, video games are full of sexy ladies running around with ginormous jiggling bosoms, which are very fun to look at. So the next time you have a bad day at work, we give you permission to sit down and start gaming.

Laugh

boob pillow blog - men can reduce stress

Laughter really is the best medicine. Having a good chuckle increases your oxygen intake, which stimulates your lungs, heart and brain. It also releases endorphins, improves immune function, and decreases depression and anxiety. If you can find the time to have a laugh with a few friends, great. If not, try listening to funny podcasts on your way to and from work or entertaining audiobooks while doing chores around the house.

Watching a comedy before bed will help you destress more and sleep better than an intense high action thriller. Focusing on the silly wacky things in life that are beyond your control actually makes you more resilient when it comes time to face those challenging, stressful moments. That’s what those talking dog videos on Tik Tok are for.

Move Your Body

boob pillow blog - men can reduce stress

Working out, hitting the gym, running, walking, swimming, bicycling… the list goes on and on. It doesn’t matter which activity you choose. All that matters is moving your body, getting your heart pumping, and blood flowing. Any time endorphins get released tension automatically eases.

If you’re angry, frustrated or stressed, take up boxing and punch it out. Picture your boss’ face on the bag. Not only does working out improve your overall health and fitness, it also provides ample opportunities to spot sports bra cleavage. We’re not ashamed to admit that we attend yoga classes solely for the chance to see boobs being hung upside down. If that doesn’t relax you, then nothing will.

Treat Yourself to Some β€˜Love Hormone’ This Valentine’s Day

Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be filled with frantic last minute dinner reservations or dreaded unfulfilled expectations. All that really matters is being happy and healthy. Which is why this Valentine’s Day we want to celebrate the β€˜love hormone’ oxytocin and all of its incredible health benefits.

Treat yourself

Valentine’s Day doesn’t have to be filled with frantic last minute dinner reservations or dreaded unfulfilled expectations. All that really matters is being happy and healthy. Which is why this Valentine’s Day we want to celebrate the β€˜love hormone’ oxytocin and all of its incredible health benefits.

In one of our previous blog posts we talked about how looking at and touching a beautiful pair of boobs lowers stress and releases oxytocin. Now we want to dive deep into the many health benefits of  the β€˜love hormone’ itself and why it’s so important.

Sexy brunette

Oxytocin is a hormone and neurotransmitter that is released when our bodies experience moments of pleasure like playing with a beloved pet, hugging someone or during orgasm. Women also experience a rush of oxytocin while giving birth and breastfeeding. The act of a mother holding her newborn infant to her breast is an extremely important stage in a child’s development. Both mother and child are bathed in oxytocin which forms an intense bond of attachment that allows the child to feel safe and secure.  These same feelings and bonds occur when a couple embraces and spends time cuddling which is why oxytocin is also referred to as the β€˜cuddle’ or β€˜trust’ hormone.

Oxytocin isn’t just about pleasure though, it also affects our emotions and response to anxiety. A Medical News Today article from 2017, states β€œthat the hormone’s impact on β€˜pro-social behaviors’ and emotional responses contributes to relaxation, trust and psychological stability.” It helps regulate the way we respond to stress and anger by stopping us from feeling overwhelmed and insecure. As a medication oxytocin is used to treat depression, help with anger management and even irritable bowel syndrome by relaxing inflamed intestines.

Its ability to improve people’s self esteem in social situations helps those who suffer from social anxiety. By encouraging β€œpersonality traits such as warmth, trust, altruism and openness” relationship building becomes easier and more impactful. One 2013 PNAS study even β€œsuggested that oxytocin may help keep men faithful to their partners by activating the reward centers in the brain.” Basically oxytocin is a superhero out to save humanity.

So how can you get your hands on some?  Well you can play with your dog, cuddle with your partner, have more orgasms or start hugging people again. Don’t worry if not all of these options are available there’s still another way. Studies have shown that even hugging inanimate objects such as teddy bears and pillows can have the same oxytocin inducing effects as hugging a real person. Scientists have also found that when people are distressed they respond best to soft textures. Which means when you combine the pleasures of hugging a plush booby shaped memory foam pillow you receive the ultimate dose of stress reducing and anxiety soothing oxytocin.

So instead of spending this Valentine’s Day fighting over the last table at the Cheesecake Factory, celebrate the true essence of the day by cuddling up to your loved one or beloved Booby Pillow. Basking in the comforting release of oxytocin will lower your blood pressure, alleviate your irritable bowels, boost your self esteem, make you more trusting and kind, reduce anxiety, dissolve anger and even make you a more faithful partner. You could say we’re also doing our part to save humanity :)

Research: Touching and looking at Boobs helps lower stress

Well folks, it looks like scientists have finally figured out what we’ve all known for years. Touching and looking and breasts makes us feel good and is good for our health. In May 2020, Swedish Researchers showed that touching breasts reduced stress levels by 70%. Chest size also played a roleβ€”apparently, larger chests lowered stress more rapidly.

Well folks, it looks like scientists have finally figured out what we’ve all known for years. Touching, squeezing and looking at breasts makes us feel good and is good for our health.

Touching and holding breasts helps lower stress

In May of 2020 a Swedish university found that feeling and touching breasts releases oxytocin (the love hormone that lowers stress and depression) and helps prevent breast cancer. And apparently this works for both men and women - so ladies, get touching!

Newer studies after 2021 have also found that touching breasts can be more effective at lowering stress than even breathing exercises or meditation. Imagine doing both breathing, meditation. and touching breasts - this could be incredibly healing. The effect works on men and women.

Oxytocin’s role as the β€œlove hormone'β€œ

Oxytocin is a hormone produced in the hypothalamus and released into the bloodstream by the pituitary gland. Its core function is facilitating childbirth, which is one of the reasons it’s called the "love drug" or "love hormone." Our bodies also produce oxytocin when we’re excited by our sexual partner, and when we fall in love. The good news is that the simple act of touch seems to boost the release of oxytocin. Giving someone a massage, cuddling, making love, or giving someone a hug leads to higher levels of this hormone and a greater sense of well-being.

Squeeze the Booby Pillow everyday and feel the effects of touching breasts.

Chest size linked to amount of stress reduction

The study included around 100 men between 20 and 50 years old. The selected individuals were made to look at and then touch a chest while experiencing stress. The study showed that touching breasts reduced stress levels by 70%. Chest size also played a roleβ€”apparently, larger chests lowered stress more rapidly. Link to article. So, you read right. Squeezing boobs is good for your health. But you gotta have permission!

And it only gets better. A 2012 study, published in the Archives of Internal Medicine found that looking at boobs improves our mood and could help men live longer. Men who learn to self-soothe by staring at breasts create a positive mindset, lower their blood pressure and reduce stress, which in turn improves their overall quality of health and life expectancy. Germany knows what’s up, too. A German study, published in the New England Journal of Medicine, concludes that staring at women's breasts for a few minutes daily is better for your health than going to the gym. Now we’re not advocating you stop working out, but clearly looking at a beautiful pair of breasts is good for you too.

Just 10 minutes of looking at the charms of well-endowed females is equivalent to a 30-minute aerobics work-out. Sexual excitement gets the heart pumping and improves blood circulation. There’s no question - gazing at large breasts makes men healthier.
— Dr Karen Weatherby, Author & Expert on Aging

10 minutes per day is ideal

She also recommends that men over 40 should spend at least 10 minutes daily admiring breasts-size D-cup or larger. Link to article.

So there you have it folks, scientific proof that looking at and touching boobies is good for you. If a fresh pair of breasts aren’t readily available, have no fear, we’ve created the world’s most comforting Booby Pillow for that exact reason. So grab your favorite pair of breasts or breast-shaped pillow and start relaxing today!
